About Marcus
Marcus Griep is a native of Broomfield, Colorado, now living in the Boston area of Massachusetts where he works as a Software Engineer for Vistaprint USA. Marcus received his M.S. in Information Technology and B.S. in Computer Science and Science, Technology, and Society from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY.
In the software world, Marcus’ work is varied, including compilers, web development, EDI, and collections libraries. Some of his work is visible on the websites of Vistaprint and its partners. Marcus has made open source contributions to several projects, including C5, Boo, Tor, Mono, and Git, and he currently maintains a repository for C5 and a Mono cryptography library targeting the Mono.Simd API.

During his off-work time, Marcus is an avid photographer, working in the portrait, event, and photojornalistic styles. Marcus also enjoys fine art and glamour photography. Marcus’ other activities include reading, spending time roughhousing with his son, and relaxing with his wife. Marcus is an active Freemason with Mt. Horeb Lodge in Woburn, MA, and a brother of Acacia Fraternity. Marcus is also a certified EMT-B in the state of Massachusetts and certified to teach CPR and first aid by the American Red Cross.
